English
Our English curriculum is developed to empower pupils to understand, explore and challenge the written and the spoken word,
and to develop their love of literature through widespread reading for pleasure.
Pupils at Kings Priory School are challenged and supported through well-sequenced and purposeful schemes of work,
exposing them to diverse and thought-provoking material in order to appreciate the ideas, concepts and stories that have shaped the world.
By including a broad range of texts, the sequencing allows pupils to appreciate the talents of classic writers as well as more contemporary authors,
creating a captivating and inspired learning experience
