English Literature
In English Literature, pupils are introduced to an inspiring, diverse and thought-provoking range of texts. In reading and analysing the words of powerful writers, pupils gain a broad insight into the world around them. Texts are chosen for their relevance and challenge and through detailed analysis, pupils are able to purposefully forge thematic and contextual links, across the key stages.
All pupils at KPS will possess the ability to engage with literary heritage texts and modern drama.
Immersion into a world of high quality texts, helps instil a lifelong love of reading, the ability to access the wider curriculum and gives them the confidence to explore their imagination and creativity.
