French
We believe that learning a foreign language and intercultural agility widens opportunities and equips pupils with the skills to be global citizens of the future. Our intent is to engage pupils' curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world through using a range of authentic materials and strategies to help them retain and manipulate language. We encourage pupils to express their ideas and thoughts in the target language and to understand and respond to its speakers, both in speech and in writing. Opportunities are given for pupils to communicate for practical purposes, learn new ways of thinking, read literature in the original language and listen to authentic materials in a range of formats to equip pupils with the necessary skills to study and work in different countries.
