Kings Priory School recognises the vital importance of charity work. As a school we actively support a co-ordinated approach to charity work to support those less fortunate than ourselves. As part of our dedication to charity work at Kings Priory School, pupils in school choose two charities to support each year. We also actively support the local food bank and run regular appeals for this across the year. The charities which the school supports are reviewed annually and we use Pupil Voice as the driving factor in deciding the nominated charities. The Pupil Voice method used to select the charity will be age-appropriate, democratic and overseen by a member of the Senior Leadership Team. We encourage our pupils to contribute to a whole school charity appeal to develop and reflect on their role as a local, national and global citizen. Pupils are encouraged to propose their own fundraising activities to raise money for the school’s chosen charities.
